Sky Tower is Wrocław's tallest building at 212 metres, and its 49th-floor observation deck, roughly 200 metres up, is the highest public viewing platform in the country. It's easy to assume the whole building is a tourist attraction – it isn't. Sky Tower is a working mixed-use tower with apartments, offices and a shopping mall at street level, and the observation deck is a single floor near the top, reached by its own dedicated lift.
Indoor deck and outdoor terrace
The indoor viewing floor runs year-round, with floor-to-ceiling windows over the whole city. An open-air outdoor terrace adds an unobstructed version of the same view, but it closes for winter (late October to late March) and reopens once conditions allow – check before planning a cold-season visit if the outdoor section matters to you.
What you're actually looking at
From up here, Wrocław's Old Town and its cluster of church towers sit close to the centre of the view, with the Odra's many bridges and islands spreading out around it. On a clear day, the Sudetes mountains are visible on the horizon to the south.
Booking and timing
Tickets are timed but simple – buy online or at the desk, then take the lift up. Late afternoon is the best single slot: you get the city in daylight, then watch it light up after dark, all on the one ticket. Plan for about an hour, less if you're just passing through.
